PGA DEEP DIVE: The Open Championship
11K-10K
John Rahm: $11,100 DK/ $12,300 FD
Rahm is coming in with probably the best form on tour, having dominated the memorial, winning the US open, and then finishing 7th last week at the Scottish Open. He is 2nd in the field in SG:OTT, 11th in SG:BS and with his current form you would expect no worse than a top 10 from him this week. He is going to be very popular so if you use him, pick your other golfers a little more contrarian to off-set that.
Brooks Koepka: $10,700 DK/ $11,800 FD
The king of being in the hunt in Majors, comes in as the third highest priced which is fair considering he has elite Open Championship history. He cut his teeth over on the Euro-challenge tour before coming to the PGA Tour, so he is familiar with the ins and outs of how to play across the pond.

Jordan Spieth: $9700 DK/ $11,600 FD
Spieth will be the most popular golfer this week. He is priced fairly, has elite history including a win at the Open Championships in years past, and rates 3rd overall in our stat model.
Justin Thomas: $9600 DK/ $11,400 FD
It is weird seeing JT priced under 10k in a major, but we got pricing released before the Scottish Open finished where he led the field in SG:T2G, look for that to continue this week as he rates out 2nd overall for us in the stat model.
GPP Plays: Oosty and Hatton
8K
Patrick Cantlay: $8900 DK/ $10,700 FD
PC has found his game of late and brought in 3 straight top 15 finishes including a win. He is 2/2 at the Open Championship including a 12th in 2018. He checks all our boxes coming in rating out 4th overall for us this week.
Patrick Reed: $8800 DK/ $10,600 FD
Reed has a sneaky good history for this major. He has 4 top 28 finishes including a 10th last time out at Portrush. He is definitely known for being a grinder, which is what you expect from this tournament. It also helps he is rating out as the #5 golfer for us this week.
Paul Casey: $8600 DK/ $10,300 FD
Paul Casey has just been so damn consistent for the last year. He has a fairly mediocre history at the Open Championship, but you would expect him to make the cut like he has done all but twice in the last 15 months, and get us a top 25 finish. He is third in the field in SG:APP and 5th in SG:BS so look for the Englishman to do well this week.
Scottie Scheffler: $8200 DK/ $9700 FD
This is more a gut play than a statistical one. Scottie only rates out 42nd for us this week, but if you look at his play in majors leading up to this one he has 5 straight top 19 finishes in them including 3 top 10’s. He showed off a stinger shot off the tee that went viral showcasing his ability to combat any big wind that kicks up, so this is a spot where you should get some leverage since he probably won’t pop in too many stat models due to never playing links golf until last week at the Scottish Open.
GPP Plays: Fleetwood, Finau, Scott.
7K
Abraham Ancer: $7600 DK/ $ 9300 FD
Ancer has some iffy history at this major, but considering it has been 2 years since he played in it- his game is miles ahead and better than what it used to be. He rates out as the 16th best golfer in our model, and due to his previous poor performance across the pond 2 and 3 years ago, we may get some lower ownership than he warrants.
Harris English: $7300 DK/ $9200 FD
English probably will be a little more popular than I originally thought Sunday when we did the pod, but watch our value video where Chris goes over why you should play Harris.
Daniel Berger: $7400 DK/ $10,000 FD
If Dustin had been able to do our value video this week, this is 10000% where he would have landed. Berger is mispriced, and no matter if you hate him for majors or not, he should be priced in the mid 8k range. He is going to be very popular in cash, as he rates out 23rd in our stat model, and has been talked up about being able to control his apex better than most on twitter to start the week.
Guido Migliozzi: $7100 DK/ $8600 FD
This one is for you coach, as Guido rates out great and that’s why I went over him on our value of the week video.
GPP Plays: Wallace, Macintyre, Bez, Higgo, Sergio, Niemann, Weisberger, Conners, Min Woo Lee, Grace, Fowler
6K
Stewart Cink: $6900 DK/ $8300 FD
Another major, another week Cink rates out top 20 for us while being cheap. We need a made cut for him to hit value, and he has 3 top 25 finishes at The Open Championship in his last 4 times playing it.
Keegan Bradley: $6800 DK/ $8800 FD
Keegan comes in first overall in the stat model this week. He is top 8 in the field in SG:APP, SG:BS, SG:T2G, and par 4 scoring on 450-500 yards. He has above average history at the Open Championship, and has been playing pretty stellar golf all year. All we need is a made cut and he pays off.
Sam Burns: $6300 DK/ $9000 FD
He might be the most mispriced golfer including Berger just due to the fact that he is only 300 above min price. He has no links history, but has shown the ability to win on Tour and compete week in and out, rates 40th overall for us, and gives you the salary to be creative and jam some big names in.
GPP Plays: Glover, Scrivener, Herbert, Hoffman, Grillo, Bland, Schwab, Cink, Kirk, Armitage
